Artistic Programme Partnerships

We work with artists, producers, organisations and partners to develop and deliver a programme that reflects the communities we serve and the creative ambition of Legacy Centre of Excellence.

Our focus is on high-quality, culturally relevant work across music, theatre, visual arts and community practice, with a strong emphasis on artist development, audience engagement and long-term impact.

We are moving towards a more focused and curated programme. This means we are more intentional about the work we support and the partnerships we build

How We Work

We prioritise:

 

  • Clear artistic vision and purpose

  • Opportunities for artist development and progression

  • Strong audience engagement and reach

  • Fair and transparent ways of working

  • Partnerships that bring shared value and capacity

Please Note: We work collaboratively, but we do not operate as a free or open-access venue. All proposals are reviewed against our programme priorities, capacity and available resources.

What We’re Looking For

We are interested in proposals that:

 

  • Align with our artistic programme (music, theatre, visual arts, community-led work)

  • Support Black and Global Majority artists and communities

  • Offer clear audience value and engagement

  • Contribute to artist development or sector growth

  • Demonstrate strong delivery and planning

What We Don’t Prioritise

We are less likely to support:

 

  • Activity with no clear artistic or audience value

  • One-off events with limited engagement or impact

  • Projects that rely solely on free use of space without shared benefit

  • Poorly planned or last-minute proposals

  • Activity that does not align with our programme priorities

Due to the volume of enquiries, we are unable to support all requests. We aim to respond fully within a 10 day timeframe.

Decision Criteria

We assess proposals based on:

 

  1.  Artistic quality and clarity

  2.  Alignment with programme priorities

  3.  Audience value and engagement potential

  4.  Contribution to artist development or progression

  5.  Feasibility and delivery readiness

  6.  Financial viability and shared value

 

We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Submitting a proposal does not guarantee programming.

 

We prioritise proposals that demonstrate:

 

  • preparation

  • clarity

  • mutual benefit
